VIII. Curriculum Design
Hsin-Chu municipal Cheng De Senior High School (成德高中) is known for its strong emphasis on academic inquiry, interdisciplinary learning, and the balanced development of science, humanities, and communication skills. As a school that values students’ critical thinking, self-directed learning, and social responsibility, it also aims to support students’ emotional well-being and interpersonal growth, especially during the transition into senior high school.
Grade 10 students at Hsin-Chu municipal Cheng De Senior High School often face new academic expectations, increased workload, and the need to adapt to a more competitive and self-managed learning environment. At this stage, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) plays an important role in helping students build self-awareness, manage stress, communicate effectively, and form positive peer relationships.
